Kingsport Lodge Holds 2016 Officer Installation

On Sunday December 13 2015, Kingsport Lodge #688 begins to usher in the New Year by installing the 2016 Officers.  With a large crowd on hand, Installing Officer Dusty Parsons PM and Installing Marshall Phil Elam PM, began installing the new officers to their respective positions.

after the 2015 Officers had retired.  Bill Ausmus, was installed as the 2016 Worshipful Master.  Bart Rowlett 2016 Senior Warden and Tim Sutton 2016 Junior Warden.  The 2016 Deacons are Brent Collier as Senior Deacon and Sammy Dennison Junior Deacon.

Les Simerly was installed as Senior Steward and Dylan Killen as Junior Steward.  Completing the 2016 installation was Randall Jones, 2016 Tiler.

Worshipful Master Bill Ausmus welcomed those in attendance and commented he looked forward to serving the lodge for the next year.  

After thanking his family and friends in attendance, he proceeded to introduce the 2016 slate and allowed them also to welcome and thank those in attendance.

Brother Bart Rowlett was award the 2015 Ritualist of the Year.  Ritualist of the Year is presented to the Mason who has continued to show strong ritual work during the year.  

Brother Phil Elam P.M. was awarded Master Mason of the year for Kingsport Lodge.  Master Mason of the Year is presented to the mason who has shown continual strong dedication to his lodge and Masonry as a whole.  Brother Elam has been a member of Kingsport Lodge for many years and is a Past Master.

While awards are not the reasons masons do the things they do, both awards were accepted with great humbleness and gratitude.

After some closing remarks by Worshipful Master Bill Ausmus, those in attendance were asked to retire to the Fellowship Hall for a meal and refreshments.

Kingsport Lodge #688 looks forward to beginning a new year and continuing to spread the works of masonry.
